Reflection from God's Word:

            As we continue in our study in the kingship of David, w e note this morning that the dismissal of David from the Philistine alliance leads to a season of mourning, followed by a time of thanksgiving to God for his compassions which fail not. The vicissitudes of his life prepared David for the kingship given to him by God.
