Summary

Reflection from God's Word:

            In this morning's Scripture passage, we learn that Samuel as a boy possessed "THE LISTENING EAR" to hear the voice of God and to be faithful in his calling to serve Him.   In addition to being a type of Christ (who is our Prophet, Priest, and King), Samuel serves as a wonderful example of that very same listening ear that we need in order to hear the voice of the good Shepherd and follow Him in our calling of service.
