Reflection from God's Word:

           This morning, we begin a series on the rise of David.   Israel's rejection of the LORD as king brought Saul to the monarchy. " THE SELECTION OF A NEW KING" demonstrates that the anointing of David, however, was due to the intention of God -- the king from whom Jesus Messiah would come.
